Meet the Designer
Mieka is a costume designer based in New York. She was born and raised in Chicago, and is the child of immigrants - a Puerto Rican mother and a Dutch father.
She is an Artistic Associate at About Face Theatre and a member of USA829. Her work has received a Joseph Jefferson Award in 2020 for First Love is the Revolution, at Steep Theatre, as well as four previous nominations for Jeff awards. She was featured in Newcity’s “Players 50, The Fifty People Who Really Perform for Chicago” in January of 2020.
